Interactive sculpture installation
Whispering Dishes is an out-door installation, meant to transform the acoustic environment where it is installed. The design was historically used during 2nd world war as a lo-fi way of communicating across distances.
The dishes, or discs, create a tunnel of sound where it is possible to talk using normal volume. Think of this in a festival setting; if you go to one of the towers and there is someone present in the other tower.
Will you read the poem aloud? Will you make a friend? Or is the tower just a nice way of elevating yourself from the chaos and mayhem of the festival?
